ArbitrationFall 2009 Instructor: Michael Tedesco Introduces the law and practices of labor, employment, and commercial arbitration. Reading and discussion focus on federal and state statutes favoring arbitration, judicial review of arbitration awards, selection of arbitrators, and presentation of arbitration cases. Class project simulates advocacy in arbitration proceedings with an emphasis on effective representative techniques, highlighting differences between arbitration and traditional litigation. Students are graded on papers and participation. |
