William Holmes

Bill Holmes is a partner at Stoel Rives LLP in Portland, Oregon. His practice focuses on the area of energy law, with a special emphasis on renewable energy, such as wind, geothermal, biomass, tidal and ocean power. Holmes also has extensive experience with real estate law, water law, and general corporate transactions. Before joining Stoel Rives LLP in 1985, Holmes served as law clerk to Judge Louis F. Oberdorfer of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Holmes graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1984 and received his B.A. with highest honors from University of Texas.
