The All-Woman Law School
Associate Dean Margie Paris writes, I recommend a read of Nancy
ShurtzÃs 'Lighting the Lantern: Visions of a Virtual All-Women's Law
School,' just out in the Hastings Women's Law Journal
(Vol. 16, No.1).
The article takes a virtual tour through the orientation program of The
'American All-Women's Law School,' and it includes in lengthy footnotes
the extensive research in which Nancy engaged. Great idea, fun text,
amazing scholarship!
Meanwhile, Shurtz will be traveling to California
this month to discuss an actual womenÃs law school at Mills College an Oakland womenÃs college that decided to stay that way after a
lengthy debate several years ago. They consider ShurtzÃs vision a great
match for theirs.
