Professor Hari Osofsky to Speak at ENR Fireside Conversation Series September
12 at 4:30 p.m.
The University of Oregon School of Law's Environmental and Natural Resources
Law Program, along with the University of Oregon's Environmental Studies Program,
continues its "Earth on Fire: A Series of Fireside Conversations On Global Warming" 2007-2008 series with
a talk by Professor Hari Osofsky, who will be speaking on "Climate Change and
the Alien Torts Act." Professor Osofsky has assisted with Earthjustice's annual submissions to the
U.N. Human Rights Commission related to environmental rights, as well as the Inuit
Circumpolar Conference's petition to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. She has also published law review articles, book chapters, and editorials on
the issues of human rights and international environmental rights, and has given
numerous public presentations on those issues as well. The event will take place Wednesday, September 12, at 4:30 p.m., at the Many
Nations Longhouse adjacent to the School of Law. It is free and open to all members of the University community.
