February 26th 2008 • Printer version Oregon Law and North Eugene High School Students Join Together in Recognizing
National Minority Law School Recruitment Month
The event is intended to reach out to minority high school students and introduce
them to law career opportunities. At the event, students participated in a meet
and greet breakfast, mock trial on domestic violence and discussion on access
to justice issues for communities of color.
Jeminé Modé, second-year Oregon Law student and minority outreach admissions
assistant, and Johnny Lake, University of Oregon doctoral student and Eugene,
Oregon 4J school districts administrator on special assignment, organized the
event. Lawrence Seno, Oregon Laws assistant dean of admissions, welcomed the group
with remarks about diversity in the legal profession.
