|
The student chapter of the United States-Mexico Bar Association ("USMBA") is a group of students who are interested in: (1) Gaining and sharing business and legal knowledge and experience with a focus on United States-Mexico business transactions; (2) Traveling; (3) Networking opportunities with legal professionals across the United States and Mexico; and (4) Gaining international cultural perspectives. The USMBA is a professional, non-partisan organization. The primary issues of interest to the group are NAFTA, tariffs, border security, transportation, immigration, and environmental issues. The group has monthly meetings, issues are discussed among members, and guest speakers are brought in when they are available. The group also sends a delegation to the international conference of the USMBA every November. The USMBA has grown to have members in 39 States in the U.S. and Mexico, and is contemplating expanding to include Canada. |
