Mission StatementWLF provides a network for women law students, increases awareness of legal and social issues that affect women, and actively promotes equality and fair treatment of women in the legal profession and in society as a whole. The History and Goals of the Women's Law ForumThe Women's Law Forum is one of the oldest and largest law student organizations at the University of Oregon School of Law. WLF is a student organization dedicated to increasing the voice of female students at the law school. WLF members contribute to the School of Law and the greater community in three main ways: conferences and speakers, networking opportunities and public service. Past event topics include domestic violence, the HPV Vaccine, reproductive justice, gender issues in criminal law, women in business and commercial law, and many social events with law professors , alumni, and local lawyers and judges. Past speakers include the Honorable Virginia Linder of the Oregon Supreme Court, Sarah Buel, and Sara Ainsworth, among many others. All WLF events are open to all students, and membership is open to all interested students. More information about WLF will be available during orientation and on the WLF bulletin board. |
